Don't know if this is the right thread so feel free to move. Ive got a 95 5.0 mustang and I was doing research on throttle cables. I saw that Lokar kept coming up and I got curious, as they make throttle cables for our years of mustang! But my question is: will it work for the stock 5.0 setup? Is there anyone here that has used it? The AI google states it'll work, but I wanna hear it straight from the horse's mouth! (No pun intended) thanks again and happy holidays!!

Do you need a new one? If not, don’t bother. They’re more for aftermarket setups where the stock cable won’t work.
Figured unfortunately. Its just a little loose on the pedal so I wanna tighten her up a bit

Someone made a post the other day about using a 3d printed spacer around the throttle cable to take the slack out. I’ve done it before myself with a nylon spacer cut in half and zip tied around the throttle cable in front of the pedal. It’s an old school racer trick.

Yeah I saw that one too! I asked the guy for actual pics of it and he hasn't sent em yet. May try searching for one to see about taking that little bit of slack out. I'm gonna see if oreillys has anything (I work there so I'll see what I can scrounge up).

Hardware stores have them but you might find something similar.

I made mine from a piece of fuel hose. Figured that the rubber would give some cushion to the operation, maybe lessen the chance of ever snapping the cable. With this being a problem on virtually every sn95 I don't understand why someone doesn't make a replacement. Has anyone ever actually snapped a cable, and what did you do for a fix?

I've hoped and prayed, I wonder if we can all get together to mob LMR or American muscle to get them to commission one. Heck maybe even Pioneer might if you ask them politely.

I will put up pictures on that thread for the printed one. I have some stomps on the go pedal and it holding up well. My adjusted length is working well for me too.

I went and looked. There is a picture of the spacer installed but it is a bit hard to see as the material used is black. Also pictures of pedal position before and after.
This last one also got printed in the lengthwise direction so the filaments are in line with the force.
