I was looking for metal emblems for my 1996 Cobra. I wanted the grille and two fender cobras in metal so I could get them powdercoated the same color as my wheels. Does anyone know where to find these if they exist. I tried looking on Google without luck. Thanks.

Yeah man, has to be metal to tolerate the curing process. It has to be just perfect, I don't want to get "close" with a paint. I already have the powder.

Well good luck. I'm not aware of metal badges for our car. They'd be expensive to custom make too.

I shall continue to dig. I have decent Google-Fu. The key chain is not a bad idea, but only for one side.

Any automotive paint center can match the paint to the powder. Most of them can put it in a aerosol can too.

I don't man, I live in Montana. So I would be leery of the quality. Plus, when I built my last motorcycle and got the paint matched it was always pretty far off.

Search for a casting company. Not sure of cost but they can take your plastic emblems and make a mold that can then be cast into a metal copy.

Right on, that's not a bad idea. I'll test my luck looking for a casting company.

Unless there's casting company like that I'm unaware of... Yeah, no. I highky doubt a casting company will make a one of for an affordable price.

I'd try to find someone that has a furnance in their garage and does hobby casting. You're going to get poor surface and feature quality and I think it will be extremely hard to do finishing on.

It's not like a machine shop that has to autocad a design and put it into motion. Molds are easy to make and you may have better luck than you think.

It's still worth looking into. Even if not they may have recommendations.

In a foundry molds aren't easy to make... Not at all.

Like I said, your best bet is hobby casting. The problem with metal casting is usually finishing.

If you can find someone to do it then finishing could be done with jbweld on rough spots and then still be powder coated. Jb will hold up to hear of oven

The diamonds in the cobra emblem would be a nightmare to finish properly.

I'm not saying its impossible. Casting is the only way I can think of that has any chance if being affordablish. I think I'll be a nightmare to get those little emblems right though...

Oh sweet Jaysus, I just wanted shiny coppery snakes screaming at 4 cylinder cars from the sides of my car! Alas, I think I may be without luck. The search continues!

take your time and you can probably find a paint that close, easier then you could make a metal badge. It only needs to be close since its not like they are mounted to the powdered area to tell if they are half a shade off.

Everybody doing copper colored wheels all of a sudden, or at least 2 of us.
