I have been thinking of selling on my current SN95. Its a 98 Mustang GT. But prices seem to be all over the place and if I do it I don't want to let it go for what I think the market is saying its worth. So I wanted to see what you guys think.

1998 GT
114K miles
98 4.6 Shortblock rebuilt to stock
PI heads rebuilt to stock
T45 fully rebuilt with brand new cluster gears from Ford and upgraded 3 gear reverse fork
BBK CAI, MAF, Intake tube & Throttle body
BBK shorty headers, Offroad X pipe, Roush side exhaust. (I have the original mid pipe for emissions)
COP conversion
Tuned by Full Throttle Kustoms

Interior
Black leather in great shape.
Kenwood with Mach system working well. Added Bluetooth streaming.
Custom steering wheel mount with custom cruise control stalk. No airbag and everything works as it should.
Pretty expensive Nardi Torino wheel

Air conditioning blows cold. Nothing on the car is malfunctioning.

Suspension
Koni Sport series on all 4 corners.
Racecraft road race drop spindles.
Racecraft tubular lower control arms
Steeda coilover conversion on the front
Steeda upgraded sway bar
Steeda bump-steer kit
Steeda Billet 4 bolt camber plates
Steeda adjustable billet control arms lower rear
Steeda adjustable control arms upper rear
Steeda sway bar
Steeda GT coils
3.73 gears

American Muscle SC style wheels and Kumho tires. Tires still have lots of life. I am sure I am forgetting some stuff but I hope this is enough to get an idea of wheat I might expect if I decide to put it up for sale. I also have a full Marti report & Carfax for it. Its not perfect but its pretty nice. I am still very proud of it.

I know I would never get my money out of it and I am not looking to. But do you think I could expect 6500?

Nice looking car. I would say 5.5 might be more realistic. But start higher no matter what..

On a side note. What is going on with the rear bumper and being indented right by the license plate? Have never seen that before

Thanks guys. Its a reflection off the license plate frame. Based on what I have seen locally I think you're 5.5 number is probably spot on. And I would have to wait for awhile before that guy would come forward. That verifies what I figured. Looks like the car stays in the garage right where it belongs.

Nice car! Wish I could score something that nice for 5500 here. People want about that much for a stock car that looks meh.

Nardi wheel is sweet!

Really? I was looking last night and I could not believe the amount of 97-98 GT's for 800ish to 2500. Granted they were all pretty wore out and need everything. But they looked like good starting points. When I bought this the engine, and trans were both blown and the rearend made noise. I paid 1800 for the car. Looking around these days I think I paid too much but glad I saved it. But I was just floored at the quantity of cars for sale. There had to be a dozen Cobra's from 3000 to 5500. The market here is flooded.

When I bought mine back in 05, it was mint except for light oxidation of the paint. I'm glad I took care of it because people can't believe it still has the original motor and transmission. Finding these cars in mint condition are getting harder to find. Foxbody's are actually climbing in value now since there classics.

If you keep the miles down and keep it clean the value will go up eventually. They are hard to find in good shape and now that they are becoming exempt from State inspection they will climb up. The problem is if you do find a nice clean one the owners are asking crazy money. The market hasn't starting rising just yet.

I had some guy chase me down on GSP saying he will drop 6k now on mine. He was little crazy because he was weaving in and out of traffic trying to show off in front of me. People are starting to really appreciate this body style now. I get a ton of compliments on the street and at gas stations. I'm glad I jumped on my 02 GT while it was cheap because in 10 years it's going to climb too.

I wish that was true here. In the socialist state of California if it is 1976 or newer its subject to emission testing. People keep trying to get bills passed that will return us to a rolling date of 25 or 30 years. But as long as people keep getting elected to office that believe fracking causes earthquakes you are not going to get anything intelligent done.

I went out in the garage last night, had a beer and a cigar and stared at the car. I'm glad its staying. I enjoy driving it. I have almost collected enough parts for the new engine. I was on the fence and the confirmation of market price made me realize it would be a mistake.

Like DropTopPony said around here on the east coast people want crazy money for them. Now if it was another 10-15 years from now, when they hit collectir status......of coarse i can see these prices. Not right now though.
I think youre going to be happier keeping it

Funny you should mention that. Took it out to run a couple of errands around town yesterday. I was half way down the street and I was wondering what in the hell I was thinking. Thanks for all the opinions. But I have removed my head from my anus. I have no idea what even got me thinking about this.

Thank you. I thought about making a run of the lower part that fills the gap between the adapter and the column. But when I looked at a 5 piece run I would have to get about 325.00 each just to break even. It didn't seem like something 5 people would be willing to pop for.

Sweet car! I think the $5K mark is right on. The problem is you have to find the right buyer that appreciates your mods. So trying to sell this car for that number would take quite a while.
