Anyone know where I can get a replacement coolant sensor that goes on the coolant tank ? My low coolant light won't go out

If not if I disconnected the sensor would the light definitely go out ? Thanks

Disconnecting the sensor will cause the light to go out, but before doing that, or spending money on a new one, you could try cleaning it. Sometimes they get crusty crud on them and it make the light stay on, even when the coolant level is fine.

Try cleaning with some sandpaper. Like DeepList said, they get a build-up of corrision on them. Take a look at the two metal contacts - if they are kind of dull, and have a green-ish tint to them, you have some corrosion on there. Hit them with some light sandpaper action.

If you want to replace it, check out LMR, they probably have a replacement.

I bought a replacement and my light still on. Was told the coolant in the tank is too dirty.

Hmm....your coolant would have to be *really* dirty to not conduct some electricity between the metal bits on the sensor. Maybe a wiring issue?
