I need some help on this one. Swapping my 4r70w to my 95 car which is a factory 5 SPD car. My concern is the linkage from the auto shift handle that goes under the dash? What is that and how important?

You're swapping the wrong way lol.

I haven't seen a manual to auto swap recently, not sure who can help you out.

I found out its the safety lock. the Manual safety lock is on the clutch pedal. To keep it from turning over in gear.

Orange 94 - the full story here is my 95 actually had the t56 in it which im putting in my 94. The 94 was converted to the 4r70w before I bought it. just doing a complete swap on both cars. will be selling the 95 soon.

Oh yea, that part is still on my car, just a cable that runs to the steering column. It doesn't do anything sitting out of the way. Do you need it?
