Hey Guys,

Im sure some of you follow me on IG, but I figured I would actually start a build thread.

First things first - YES - its a REAL Cobra R, #165. 10,600 Miles.

I've owned the car since 2013, bought it with 3,4xx miles on it. I've tracked it multiple time and have really enjoyed it. It was repainted in August 2013, Rosso Scuderia, a Ferrari color. The Performance Red need more "pop". Full color conversion, doors off, in the trunk, engine out and everything ($20K)

Car blew the right (passenger side) headgasket, so I said F it and decided to go the turbo route. To make it even more interesting, I decided to go for the S1 Sequential conversion (not in my hands yet, though).

All that and no pics?!?!? Even my wife don’t tease me that bad!!!!!! Lol

Sounds awesome and I’m so glad your building and racing a true R. Most think they’re garage trophies which is an insult to the engineering that went into those cars.

Oh man! This thing is going to be so wild!

Question though, what’s making you go with the ON3 kit?

Warrior1016,

Alot of people ask me that. I've paid thousands for ceramic bearing, billet wheeled 6265 Precision's (on a 05' Murcielago) and the seals took a shit after 2K miles. I had a GTK1000 Tubonetics on my single turbo SN95 Cobra Vert back in 09/10, also took a shit. Yes they were all jetted down. Also had some issues with Precision wastegates on that Murcielago as well.

Anyways, I watched On3 start to get bigger and bigger, seemed like they were doing well, lots of people were having good luck with them (especially the later gen stuff - current). I put an early gen single kit on another Cobra back in 2009 and I didnt really have any complaints other than the piping was out of control since it went around the motor. So, I approached On3, told them what I wanted to do and Chad really took care of me. It seems like more and more people are using On3 and making great, reliable power - you just have to remember to jet the oil feed line down so it dosent blow the seals up. Remember; every shop, every brand has to start somewhere. And Technically its not the "Kit" its just the Turbo, WG, BOV & IC. The Headers are CG Fab & the Hotside / cold side is all custom by OFW here in Fresno.

If for some reason there is an issue with it; it can be changed out easily enough. :)

Evil, Nah - I just work my butt off every day. Im self employed so I have to "beat the bushes" every day to keep up with my bad car habit LMAO. ;) Just a normal guy with an over-the-top obsession with anything motorized. My wife, son and I all ride dirtbikes, we have Shifter-Karts - No Boat since I have no room for one lol But we have 8 cars - none of which are stock, 2 Ducatis and 1 Vespa, so my hands are ALWAYS full with something to do....I try to do the majority of my work; the R is really the first time I am having work done without my presence, but every aspect gets ran by me (im a control freak lol). Im getting older and more "cripple" (back issues, was using 4-post walker the last 2 weeks) and with my business and growing son, my time is better off with him practicing at the track than working on the car :)

I can understand the working for yourself routine. I recently went back out on my own and have stayed pretty slammed. I never needed a walker but after shattering 5 vertebrae and having a cage installed I can sympathize on the getting too old to be slaving on a car all the time!!!! Lol

That is a beautiful car, sir. I would be afraid a gnat would fart even close to it let alone land on it. Looks like you will drive the sap out of it.
