Well our family did chirstmas last night so Ive had all day today to just hang out and mess with my new d3100 for a while. Its going to take some time for me to get use to it and Ill need some practice

Thanks! Ive been doing a lot of reading and just practicing. Do you have a CPL filter? A lot of people say its almost necessary when shooting cars but others say it just ruins the photo quality

Ive already learned the more shots you take the better. I was out in the driveway for a while today and got a couple decent ones I think. I shot in RAW today and its so much better

If you process your photos, you'll most likely never need it. I have one but have yet to use it.

Pictures look good so far!


I picked up a canon t5 with a couple lenses. Starting to pick stuff up, will take lots of learning. Could really use a good tripod.

Keep your eyes on Craigslist. I picked up a $150 Fluid head Tripod for $25. I see people selling them cheap in the photo section all the time.
