MG XPower SV-R engine questions

im trying to find a bit of information on this cars motor. the car comes with a 4.6 4v and a 5.0 4v supposedly tuned by roush. from what ive been able to find the non R model has the regular 4v that looks to be either a 99 01 cobra motor or a 03 04 mach 1 motor. same intake manifold and all. 10:1 compression, the R model has a punched out 5.0 with near 400 hp with compression of 11.4:1. im assuming its just a worked over 4.6 4v with cams, quality exhaust, tune and slightly higher displacement. just a side quest among a discussion im having with a friend on irc. if anybody has any info that would be great.

Sooo… I really had to read this a few times to figure out exactly what you were asking. What I found was a delightfully fugly little car.



It sort of looks like a Dodge Stratus banged an Audi TT.
