Hi all I have 17x9” wheels on my new edge at the moment with 275/40 tyres up front and 315/35 on the rear BUT the tears are way to big and the back end is not happy at all on them. Anyway I would like fat Tyra on the rear and skinny on the front but what is the narrowest and widest trues I can fit on my 17x9” wheels ?
My speedo is calibrated to have 110mm side wall tyres on the rear so what to stay close to that size.
And if anyone has any photos of tyres on my size wheels could you please post them up
Many thanks
Adam

245/45/17 will fit safely but look too narrow. 275/40/17 is a perfect fit and really as wide as you should go on 17x9.

Fun fact, most OEM applications, you will find a 245 or 255 on a 9 inch wide wheel. The reason why manufacturers do that is to better optimize the handling. The sidewall is almost preloaded, so you end up with a crisper turn in, and just better feel overall, because tires doesn't move around as much.
