Miss fire

Hello 98 4.6 changed coils, and plugs and wires. One wire at a time. And now it spits and sputters, won't rev above 2500 been fighting this for over 3 months. I'd like to drive this car before 24 ends

Checked fuel pressure, 42psig. Next is cam and crank sensors. Its a auction buy, so not much history known

also check the cold air intake sensor
and map mass air flow
for oil build up

So the car wasnt spitting and sputtering before swapping coils and wires?

Replace old coil and wires.

Does it have a miss at idle? I would pull the injector connectors one at a time to find which cylinder or cylinders are missing. Then I would check the offending cylinder with a spark tester. Does it have spark? If not maybe one of the wires are defective or not pushed in all the way. There are ignition wiring diagrams on the net, I would double check the firing order.
