Howdy folks,
Picked up a car last year and have had to replace some rear suspension bits over the winter.
Had AM lower control arms that had adjustable spring perches , Eibach 9302.102's (Blue springs )
Replaced the LCA's with MM Adjustable units(Spherical at axle, triple poly bush at chassis)
Replaced the upper CA's with adjustable units(Poly bush at chassis side and Ford Performance factory bush at diff)
everything moves, no binding. When jacked up it goes to full droop.
Lowered from lift and the car comes down under the cars load.
Car in the back is now 1 1/2 in lower in the back. Lifted up again and adjusted the spring perches about 1 3/4 of an inch and car is at the same ride height
when lowered off the lift.
Quad shocks removed as vendor indicated with new Upper CA's you can remove the quad shocks.

Any thoughts on what might be happening?

Sorry, were you asking if they were adjusted before I installed?
I had the spring perches at about 1inch of exposed thread on top, then on the second adjustment went up as far as I could.

Is the differential hitting the Pinion snub/stop? Are your shock absorbers bottomed out?

I wasn't expecting such a response! Seems like a great group of folks. Random.. haha.. sounds like my mind on any given day.
Its my first solid axle track car and it had lots of work done when it was first built. Started as a 95GTS with an automatic, then swapped to the T5 HD from modern driveline. Lots of chassis connecting/strengthening/shocks/springs.
All TF on the top end. Caged. Very different from the van diemen!
Cheers

So... NO pinion snub/stop installed. I'll have to get one. At the top of the diff there is less than 3 inches before it hits the chassis above. Shocks, have about an inch left of travel.
Crazy that that I didn't notice the springs weren't compressed on the former LCA's!

Pop the shocks and use a pump jack under the diff to see how far up the axle will travel wihout the shocks involved but with the wheels on. Are your springs oriented correctly? Half inch of travel left isnt much at all.

"Van Diemen".....I had to look that one up!

If you are attempting to bring the ride height lower, the shocks could be bottomed out if they are a factory style and may need a specific lowering type shock. If you are attempting to bring the ride height higher, again but on the flip side, their could be a specific shock made for a lowered height installed and could be traveled extended out. In other words, its possible the shock is restricting what you are trying to achieve.

FYI, a good economical shock strut combo to seek out for a lowered SN95 would be foxbody shocks/struts.

I will check this as well. Springs(eibach blue) have pigtails facing driver side when looking from back of the car. Shocks are Koni adjustable(one way)

doh! Car had add on LCA mounting brackets(Axle side). standard position on the mount was used to attach the LCA mounting brackets. Suspect for lowering roll center, but thinking they were made to work with the original after market control arms(which were also adjustable in length) I'll get the parking brake out of the way, get these off and go back to the standard mounting hole with the MM LCA's etc.
That's a good 1-1 1/4 " between mounting holes.

When I first started looking for an open wheeled car, I searched Van Diemen and it always came up with Van Diemens land.. I was like wth??
I'm trying to get the back end up where it was before.
