anybody know exactly where the motor mounts are located? my haynes manual doesnt say where they are.
between the motor and the k-member. ???
you should see the bolt if you look under the K-member
If your replacing them get good ones. For some reason the 4.6 motor mounts wear out fast.
Mine were shot when i put in new motor and old motor only had 50k on it.
The motor mount is the thing in the middle of the engine block w/ the nut on it...
thanks for all your help guys but i found them. they were pretty easy to find. i just figured i'd try to make it alittle easier. those nuts on the motor mounts are stubborn!
so the mounts wear out fast huh? so i guess my 138k mile car is blistered , guess ill get some poly ones when i do the motor swap
Ahhh, turbo headers. where you get those from Thomas
he got them from on ebay....they are Kooks. good luck findin some.
i had 39000 on the car when i bought it , the left side split in half
almost forgot about this tread. I'm gonna need to find some headers like that for a 4v
I COMPLETELY forgot about this thread.
true, fell threw the cracks. I still think with those kinda headers and someone to make some piping ... you could make a turbo set up for super cheap! i saw some powermaster turbo's for like 500 dollars... i want to see a custom fabbed twin set up.
There is a guy on here from Michigan that has a custom TT setup.
I know you could make your own turbo kit for pretty cheap.
