motor swap

    I am swapping out my motor for an 04 PI motor soon and I was wondering what I would need to change on my car and I plan to put a procharger on it after at about 10psi would the motor be an exact bolt up or will the computer or anything else need to be changed.

    direct swap but you do need to use the fuel rail and coil packs/wires from your car not the PI donor in order to use your cars current wire harness/ecu without modification.

    would I need forged internals to go with 10 psi or would it be ok with the stock ones?

    depends on your tune...get a solid one and dont beat the crap out of it all the time and it will last for a while..

    I ran 12-14 psi on my nonpi for 2 years with no issues.

    yeah, should be OK...but you might want to upgrade your cooling and fuel system to be safe.

    what kind of numbers did you see on a npi motor???

    but that was at 8psi...I never got a re-dyno after I upped the boost. The new owner is in the process of getting a retune and dyno, I could post the numbers when he emails me.

    its not worth it..All that money. I was cammed and all to get that power, and I was at the max for the stock internals. THats why I sold it and bought my cobra. :khobra:
