So 3 weeks ago I was on the craigslist and came across a 1996 mystic cobra for 3k . Had a list of recent work In the last month prior totalling close to 3k the kid said the spring in the clutch was broken .... At this time I knew he had no clue . So I got ahold of him and said I'm coming with cash text me ur number car fired right up and it moved forward and back so I said will you take 2500? He immediately said yes . So I drove her home lightly as it would skip a little . The exhaust was broken to all hell at the h pipe . I get back to my shop jack the car up and pull the inspection cover . The weight on the clutch fork had came off the bolt was Mia ... The kid had just had the clutch done the weight was lodged up in the bell so the clutch wouldn't fully disengage I fixed it in like 5 mins went for a test drive banged second gear and was just laughing to myself . The next day I repaired the exhaust and while on the hoist I noticed the oil cooler was leaking 17 bucks for o-rings and she's all fixed . So for $2517 I gotta mystic cobra for a new daily ... I'm quite happy with the find.

Thanks man . Eventually the car will be coyote powred I've had a boss 302 coyote motor in my shop for 2 years so I'll blow the teksid up eventually and by a frpp control pack and do the swap . I don't plan on going full retard with this car just gears a nice set of wheels and the motor swap so it's a daily friendly car . My yellow car is a little obnoxious for daily driving

Loving the new wheel choice orange Thanks yea it was the deal of my life so far . Had classic purple bubble tint peeled it for the fish bowl look . I'm insuring it Tuesday my Cummins daily driver is down for a tranny rebuild again lol warranty this time I had it built for 600hp and heavy towing and it lasted 28 days I've never dynoed it after the compound turbo setup . So now I threw the guy another grand said make it handle 800 . It's got double stacked chips a edge and a smarty so will see at dyno day what it does

It's not bad the clears not peeling like many it has a spot or two I wanna fix but we have a full paint and body shop at my work so during the winter I'll blow my load on a gallon of mystic to fix the car

prices have come down on paint now since the gov isn't afraid of people using it to print counterfeit money.

Lmao yea I'm sure it's still pricey I haven't priced it out yet because that will be a winter project when it's off the road

Such a great find! As far as mystic paint goes, roughly $1600 a gallon from basf. But great looking car man! Can't wait till mine is repainted!
