Rear has new H&R lowering springs, new stock shocks & quad shocks, new power stop Z23 rotors and calipers, stainless hoses and Steeda trailing arms.
I cleaned and painted the diff and sway bar and added a Alloy cover (Summit Racing) with a reusable gasket to avoid the RTV mess in future and of coarse new oil in the diff.
I wanted the springs to be a bit lower for looks, but these ride good and I have yet to have a problem with speed humps etc.
Some paint in the wheel arches and a good wash under the car, time to move on to the front.

I have probably got a bit ahead of my self, on reflection the first things I did were a new double din head unit, wheels & tyres.
Before I started on the rear end I took it in to get the transmission serviced, the car has only done 106000Km (60000 Miles) but of coarse is over 20 years old.
Turns out the Trans had never been serviced and was in a poor state so it got a full rebuild and shift kit. It never occurred to me at the time but I should have changed the engine rear main seal while the trans was out, its not leaking or anything, just to future proof it.
I am happy to have the trans rebuilt because any future work will be a nightmare with headers on.
Yes headers but first because we all like pics here are some more from the rear end...

I bought some stainless headers off Ali express, they were so cheep compared to others that I had to give them a go, I had to put a oxygen sensor bung in the pass side as the way it was was unusable due to lack of clearance with the car under body.
Once I had test fitted them several times I had them ceramic coated to reduce the heat radiation (up to 60%) as there is not much clearance to the starter motor, steering shaft and trans, I think they were made for a Manual, and I don't want to cook my freshly rebuilt auto.

The "strings" hanging from the engine support are holding the steering rack in place, those sharper eyed will have spotted the new hood & front & rear spoilers.

It was a good time for a brand new started motor which will be a huge job in the future with the headers on, had the alternator refurbished while I was there (same supplier).

Whilst lying on my back looking up at header fitment I noticed fluid weeping from the hydro boost, yay another unexpected job...
Fitted a kit to it, all good? no.

I must have lost a small check ball (or something?) once it was back on the road the brakes were dragging (sucking on on their own) and the pedal would slowly sink to the floor, a refurbished unit and new master cylinder from rock auto and all is good, doing the job twice sucked though.

As caution, I would add/make heat shields that protect the motor mounts. No need to ask me how I know. Very easy to fabricate and will keep them from "melting" due to the close header runs.

The progress was not as fast as it appears here this took most of last year, I will post more as I get time, lots to come.

Once the headers were on it was time to reinstall the K member and double check those clearances and move on to reassembling the suspension, fabricate a new exhaust to connect the headers to the mufflers and tail pipes so I could test drive it before starting on the engine. I changed out the pass lower door hinge while everything was out of the way, it would not hold the door open anymore.
