they actually had those wheels as an option on those years cars, mostly in 98 for the GTs.....

If those rims came stock with the stang, it was probably a "spring" edition model that also came with hood and half front fender stripes. Agree though, not a fan of the finish of the old cobra rims - looked better in the 94/95 cobra finish.

I got the windows re-tinted, installed all new lights front and rear and also got it re painted. Next will be new tires and exhaust.

Did you repaint the whole car? How much did that cost? Car looks really good with the new lights and new shine!
