My gear shifter will move without me pushing the clutch ?

I have the dash board pretty much out ,and I noticed that I can change gears without pushing the clutch .

Did I unplug something or mess something up ? It didnt do this before I started messing with the heater core replacement.

Its a 97GT ,5spd .

I cant believe I never noticed it before. I guess i was was just nervous cuz the interior looks like shit with the dash out,lol.

let me know how that heater core replacement goes. cause mine is shot and needs to be replaced.

Silversol,watch my other thread, Its getting close. I can get my hand on the core,just cant open the box far enough.
