Im looking to order gears this week and im stuck between 4.10 / 4.56. Before anyone gives me grief for considering 4.56 please read my details: -Auto -Weekend only car, zero highway only city driving -No FI planned only minor bolt ons -Want the quickest 0-60 & 1/4 times and set of the panta feel I know most guys say 4.10s if auto for good overall performance and drivabilty. Since this isnt a daily driver i want the best performance. Input??
The more I think about it. 4.10's make more sense, I don't even know what i'd gain going 4.56 but there is a lot to lose if I want to go for a cruise once or twice a summer. The track is also nearly 3 hours away too, that seems like a little deal breaker for me. Now its too bad AM doesn't have 4.10's in stock!!
LMR is said to get them before AM http://www.latemodelrestoration.com...-shopping-v2&gclid=CNK4gND3hb4CFaMF7Aodhx4A9w
Get 4.10s. I put them in my 95 GT auto.. Never look back.. Biggest bang for your buck, pulls hard in every gear.. 3rd gear rolling at 30, mash the pedal and it pulls to 60 like nothing.
Forgot about this thread, after delays with FR gears I purchased summit 4.10's. I've had rear end issues since the install (unrelated to the gears) but it's seriously an absolute riot the drive the car now, I feel as if i'm in high school again haha, zero regret with 4.10's.
Those 4:10 gears definitely feel like your on a 2 stroke dirtbike winding high RPMS in the power band as soon as the car takes off immediately lol. I loved the 4:11 Richmond Gears I had in my 72 Fastback GT especially with the 351 Cleveland that was built from the top to bottom with estimated 450-500hp. I'm glad you are happy with your choice of the 4:10 and also summit is always a good place to buy from since they have great technical support and they stand behind their products and have super fast shipping! What problems are you having with the rear end now if I may ask maybe I can help you out some? Take care bro!
