So my car has been running great ever since the rebuild, put about 3k miles on it so far, no problems, ran smooth. So here is where my story begins, I just moved into a new place, and i needed to borrow my grandparents f-150 so i dropped my mustang off at their house and grabbed the truck (car was running like a champ that day) car sat for like 3-4 days while i was moving. I then came back because it was going to rain so i moved the mustang into their carport, started right up no problem. i left and came back the next day to pick up the mustang as i was done moving, hopped in the car turned it on and it ran for about 20-30 secs at idle, then stalled out, and will now not start. The car is turning over, and i have checked for both fuel and spark, both of which are there. So i don't know what is wrong? if someone in the CT area would be willing to take a trip to help me figure this out it would be greatly appreciated. i will provide both gas $$$, some amazing food off the grill (your choice) and some cold beers :eek:ccasion14: thanks!

Do you have gas? gotta ask the obvious.
sounds like the dizzy may have gone south.
I didn't see in your mod list if the dizzy was upgraded or replaced.
When my dizzy died I had spark but it wasn't strong enough to fire the motor.
have you tried to pull codes? sometimes a no start will drop one sometimes not.

true. it is still trowing spark, not that i know it's strong enough to ignite fuel. it could be flooded as well

How exactly did you check for fuel and spark? A no start issue is always a fuel, spark or compression issue...since you say it was running fine, I'm going to assume it's either fuel or spark. Did you spray starting fluid in the throttle body port (crankcase evac port) and try to start it? If it starts for a second then dies it's a fuel issue...If it doesn't start at all it's a spark issue...

I can Smell fuel real bad when i go to start it, and it has fuel pressure, so i just assumed it was getting fuel, i could be wrong. As far as spark in concerned i pulled a plug and put it against the block to check for spark, which it did have.

have you bypassed the MSD box?
Do you know anybody who you can borrow a stock distributor from.
I feel you have an ignition issue. Dizzy specifically. I don't think your spark is hot enough to light the fuel. or possibility the coil.

fix ur issues and then go to a real dyno shop and have them tune it and burn u a sct chip, then you can get ur A/F right and mess with ur fuel etc.

Why are you hating on the Moates QH? Its a great product. As for the OP:

Using a NOID light, check for injector pulse.
Bypass the MSD box
Check for GOOD spark with an EFI spark tester(avalible at a local parts store)
Check TPS signal wire. If its shorted to VREF, then it will be in clear flood mode.
It also could be a contianimated MAF signal

Check the TFI (mistaken and said ccrm, my bad) module. they tend to go out alot and wont let the car start. It is located in front of the passenger side strut tower. Ive personally seen 4 go bad this year alone. Its a little gray box looking thing with slots in it with a single plug going in. Held in by two 8 mm bolts.

that's the TFI module. The CCRM is located by the radiator expansion tank
