For the Vortech oil feed line, I'm using a 2 1/2 inch nipple to the block and the tee is at the end. At the end of the tee connects the elbow with the oil sending unit. I can't get the elbow in because the AC compressor base is in the way. I tried using a 2 nipple, then I can't turn the tee because it will be hitting engine block. Any advice on how I can get this elbow in? Has anyone here run into this problem?

As stated above, it looks as your trying to use hardware that is better suited for outside water faucets. The correct fitting will be alot smaller in size than what you have. Something like this would be better suited with another 90 degree elbow on the end. http://www.jegs.com/i/NOS/741/16775/10002/-1 Be sure to get it in the correct size though. Your local autoparts store should have something in stock. Just take the oil line and sending unit in with you to be sure you have the right size and the elbows you need.

It is from Home Depot. I bought the vortech kit used and it only came with the nipple, and tee. The size I need is 1/4 inch

You grabbed the wrong hardware.

Here's a few shots of mine. It's hard to photograph.

Thanks for the pics..Is yours a 5.0 with no AC? I see that you are using an FL910 filter

Hey young gun, you need to chill out with the negative stuff. I neither approve of the said fittings but no need to knock the guy down let's bring him up to the right level of knowledge.

I went to the auto parts store and got the correct tee and 1 1/2 inch nipple. I installed the nipple but turning the tee on the nipple I can only get a few threads on and can't go further because the tee hits the block and I can't turn it any more because there is not enough clearance. How do I get this tee on the nipple?

I ground mine down a bit so it would fit. I also tapped the hole a bit deeper in that face. Your ideal solution would be to get a longer section of pipe.

I just went through this with another 95. The first one I installed it on had no issue at all, using the same exact setup on a different 95, it wouldn't work and I made countless trips to the Parker store to get it to work. I used a 45* and some other fittings to get it to clear everything and work. It was a sob I'll tell you that.

I used a dremel and lightly grinded the base of the tee and got it to turn on the nipple and installed the oil line. There is a gap by the water pump ear, does the oil line go inside this gap or outside? I have it positioned on the outside of the gap. Is this correct? I'm thinking if it is inside the gap, the hose might get kinked and restrict oil flow.

That looks right. I think the holes in the blocks vary just a touch from block to block, some are so close to the wall it's almost impossible to get the fittings to turn, while others have plenty of room.

You would think someone could make a kit that fits and looks good, or at least have parts that do not look like an old lamp assembly by now.

Is there a safe/happy place to drill/tap a hole for a 2nd sender on the block to avoid this crap? I am looking forward to doing it In the upper intake for the stock coolant temp just to keep the stock gauge working

When I removed the oil fitting on the charger there was a piece of old thread sealant on the thread and a piece fell in the hole. I want to get this piece out. On front of the charger there are allen bolts. If I remove those bolts will I be able to get access to the bottom of the oil hole?

I bought the new O-ring part# 9464K722 for the case. Do I install the gasket dry?

If its a rubber O ring, I would dip my finger in oil and wipe some on it. Dont drench it, but just get a little smear on all sides of it.
