It looks like the heads I bought were damaged by UPS. Actually it looks like they drop the box and a big chunk of aluminum was broken off. Has anyone ever dealt with UPS by filing a claim?

I've filed 2 claims...they're not too bad...just not very fast.

The sender will have to fill out paperwork and a UPS rep will come out and inspect the damage. They will issue a check to cover the damage to the sender and you'll have to collect the refund or get a replacement from the sender. :comando:

If you bought them from a vender, email them pix, maybe they'll be good enough to send replacements in them meantime.

I bought it from an individual. So the sender has to do the paperwork?

Yes...this makes it more of a PIA when you buy from an individual, but easier when you buy from a vender (because they can just send a replacement). Hopefully the guy you bought it from is a stand up guy. I bought something on ebay once that arrived broken...the seller said he filed the claim, but I never heard from him again. All UPS will do for you is let you know if the sender did indeed file the claim and they will call you to set up an appointment to inspect the damage. The only other real problem that may come up is if they don't think the item was packed well enough or if it was too heavy for the box it was packed in. :drunk:

GOOD LUCK.

I think he will be a good dude. cross my fingers. On another note, looks like I will go ahead and just get a set of PI heads. I have a set XE274H's on the way. I know they'll fit in PI heads so I should be good to go there. What was shaping up to be a good night has turned to shit.

I've had to make a claim before and it wasn't that bad...The UPS delivery guy just stopped by while on his route and looked at my part then seen the crease on the box where it was damaged in the same location and things went smooth from there.

Did you contact the person you bought them from and let them know of the damage?

Yes I did. I'll see if I can't catch the ups guy sometime soon. It actually looks like the box was just dropped. The guy I bought form sent them in a patriot performance box that he got his PI heads in. If they were drop straight down I can see how the head broke. I do have a line on a set of PI heads for 300 shipped. Gonna see about that.

Well... Instead of trying to do a NPI car, I found a guy close by that has a set of PI for 300 shipped. Guess I'll be going that route. I had already ordered an XE274H cam for my NPI heads. Hopefully they'll work good with these PI heads.
