So far I’ve tried NAPA, AutoZone, Pep Boys, O’Reileys and 2 local junkyards(1 of which doesn’t have a computerized database so you have to go there and see, randomly)…. No luck so far.
Wondering if a machine shop can make it round and true again. It’s not far off.

Yes, I saw that one in my “perusal” of the Internet. It’s in my mind as the default choice. My main concern is, obviously, it’s a one-time shot ON. If you have to remove it ever again, you open up a whole new can of worms.

I saw that as well and can't say it is a big selling point by any means. Now I can show you how a mechanic prior to me working on the car clearanced just a little bit of the inside of the pulley to allow access to the bolt behind it so that you shouldn't have to take it off till you would need a new pump.

Let’s put that on the back burner for now and “I’ll let you know!”

95 and earlier use the Ford C2 pump with the integral reservoir. 1996 and up are the Ford C3 pumps that have remote reservoirs. I'm not sure that the pulleys are the same between the two pump generations. It's been decades since I saw an old C2 pump.

Dang, I saw that and then saw they sell an aluminum pulley for my 1996 P/S pump but the link is dead! Why?!
I thought I had read once that they could/would make one but its just not something that they have enough demand for to keep in stock.

I'll have to see what Southwest Speed comes up with, just waiting on their reply. They are the only ones aside from Lares that make aluminum housings for these pumps.

CobraJeff,
I ordered mine yesterday and was sent out same day. Call the guy (Mike?) @ wazee.com and ask. He’s super nice and even followed up with a picture/text showing the package being sent out.

Yea, you have the old C2 P/S pump with the built in reservoir.

I'll have to call them up.

Damn nice. They actually replied to me, said they don't do the 96+ pulleys because not enough demand.

It’s in! Went in fine; lined it up good; ran it and drove it. All good!
Except….(yes, there’s a “but”)…
THE DAMN CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON!!!

I looked under the drivers side dash for the plug-in for that code reader you can use at VatoZone, but I didn’t see one. Does the ‘95 have one or is it in a different place?

95 is not obd2 even though there is a place to plug one in on the consol. It is obd1. The v6 had obd2 and they knew that it was coming to the v8 but not till the 4.6

It’s not a CCE? Or EEC (I forget the acronym)

I picked up a OBD1 code reader at VatoZone today ($33), checked out a couple of posts and You Tube vids on how to use and found the 2 connectors . All said YOU MUST READ AND FOLLOW the directions step by step, so READ THE MANUAL!!

Long story short… the “procedure” section is 73 pages long! Wutt?? I’ll finish reading it tonight and/or tomorrow morning first thing and have at it.

Ok, couldn’t get this off my mind so I woke up at 3:30 on my day off, read and made notes of the entire process and I’m glad I did! There’s a couple of places where the instructions are out of sequence. Kind of a “oh, BTW, do this before that” stuff.
But fortunately pp.46-65 are Code definitions that’ll direct me to follow the necessary fixes.
Once wifey (and the Sun) are up, Tests begin!

P.S.- watch, after all this it ends up being something simple like an O2 sensor!! Fingers cross…
