New Diesel Daily Driver...not the usual.

Yeah...but not the diesel you're thinking off. 84 Mercedes 300 CD Turbo Diesel. Euro Bumpers front and rear. Manual 4 Speed Conversion. 320k miles. $1800 bucks. Knocks down 25+mpg. Looked like this when I purchased it.

As with most things, I can't leave well enough alone or drive anything boring. So I pieced this stuff together. Twin Viair 480c compressors, twin 3 gallons tanks, Little Larry's manual paddle valves (no electronics to mess up), set of Airlift 2500 bags, and all 1/2 lines and fittings. Topped off with a set of 16x7 100 spoke wheels with real bullet knock offs.

Fits right in with the West Coast flavor. Keeps the miles off my Excursion as my daily and rides good. I love it.

The only thing that usually works is the engine though Lol and it will run forever! I know of one personally that has never had an oil change in 180k miles Lmao.. ... runs like a champ even with half of the wrestling team crammed in it....

There needs to be more diesel cars available in the US. I was watching an episode of Top Gear and they were comparing a VW Lupo to a Prius and it got 70 mpg vs the Toyota. I'd drive a diesel long before any other compact. Except a Focus ST of course.
