Hey everyone!

I'm a long time Ford owner, having owned the following: 1994 Thunderbird SC, 1999 Escort ZX2, 2008 Focus, 2010 Escape XLT and 2011 Focus and have always wanted a Mustang. Wife finally conceded and let me buy one after the engine in my 1997 VW Golf GTi VR6 grenaded.

Got a pretty good deal on a 2003 V6 5-spd, Shadow Grey with 125,000 KMs (77,6xx Miles) for $3700 (Canadian).

I haven't started driving it yet since I've got it in the shop for some custom paint finishes I wanted done (black inset on the recessed hood scoop, black pillars, hood and rear upper quarters).

It's similar to one of the CJ Pony guy's rides on Youtube (which gave me the idea): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1DOOkw7EIw

I don't plan on doing much with this car as it's meant to be my daily driver. Once we buy a house I'm going to try and convince the wife to let me get a GT for my real project.

With this car, it will be mostly aesthetic: probably a Cobra front end, Mach 1 lip, spoiler delete, matte black staggered rims, lower it a bit to flesh out the fender gap, and for mechanical a billet shifter, K&N drop in, true dual exhaust, 3.73 gears in the stock 7.5" rear end and a flash tune just to wake it up a bit.

I've also got a modest stereo set up going in, Phoenix Gold amps powering a set of front 6.5" components, and a 350w Pioneer competition 10" sub. The deck is actually going to be a custom built CarPC, so that will be a fun project to tackle.

Can't wait to get 'goin! :headbang:

Yesterday I did sturgeon in Chilliwack, we caught 7. Just finished salmon out of Granville, got skunked but such a nice day to be on the water.

Nice! Yeah, stuck in the office these days lol. Getting kinda antsy, need to get my Stang out of the bodyshop and go for a cruise!

Plenty of upgrades available for the 7.5....

Plenty to do to the 6 as well. This is not the forum where people will knock you for a 6.

Ask me how I know lol

Welcome! g36 monkey and Orange 94 are the two guys to talk to about kicking up the wick in the 6's. Might impress you enough to keep it. There really are some high hp killer v6's out there! Good luck!

How do you know?

I hate you lol.

But yes as noted, Orange has a pretty V6, mine is a raunchy misbehaving junk yard looking monster.

Both of them contend with their V8 counterparts. Orange probably substantially more than me....for now.

Hah! Yeah, I've been looking into the platform and I think I might eventually go with the SuperSix power pack, and at the same time do the 4.3 stroke kit, then look at doing a pro-charger SC. Should make for a pretty fun car! I'm assuming I'd probably want to drop the CP on the motor if I end up doing the SC no? (I'd have to call SS, but I don't see why I couldn't build a 4.3 stroker with low CP, 8.8:1 for example).

Won't be for some time though, since this car only has 77,6xx original miles on it (125,000 KMs). It's barely been broken in!

You wouldn't need to drop the compression that much for any supercharger. Really it only needs to be that low for huge turbo builds.
