Alright fella's.

My car needs a new look and i LOVE the look of the 2000 Cobra R. Anyways.. i've been looking around and i've found a couple that look good on the 94-98 body style if done correctly. I'm looking at getting my car repainted here very soon, and found this bumper

Whats everyone think? For now its going to be on the forest green as thats the current color of my car:

But later on its going to be Sonic Blue with a Purple Metallic clear coat. And a S281 wing. and Black FR500 rims

whats everyones thoughts? yay or nay

Oh by the way.. It WILL NOT have those nasty ass sideskirts or the 00 cobra wing.. just the front bumper. Plus i need some downforce on my car, as roadracing at 100mph my car gets light in the front end.. VERY quickly

Wheels are getting picked up this weekend.. Black FR500's. The lip is VERY functional on the 2000 Cobra R. You can notice a VERY large difference in aerodynamics at 75+ mph w/ the lip on the rear cobra R. My buddies 00 R model w/o the lip handles slightly better at speed than a 03 cobra but it still has the floating feeling. When the lip is on, its planted to the ground and the floating sensation is completely gone.

I'm all about functionality.. if it doesn't do anything, whats the point? But i dont want it to look like total ass either. hahaha

I say do it man...everyone has the cobra bumper.

Thats EXACTLY why i want to do it.. EVERYONE has a cobra bumper (especially the cobra guys' go figure. lol)

And i like to do things different to stand out from the crowd (hence why i have a single turbo 2v pre PI car).

hey Nes.
What i was thinking was about $250 for the cobra bumper cover the way it is. I'd be willing to come down on that price though if you wanna do some wheeling and dealing on that S281 wing :)

I think you should go for it...but its gonna look a little weird with your front end SO low and the rest of the car stock.

Maybe some Saleen sideskirts to balance it out?

your car is pacific green, not forest green....unfortunately.

and purely from a performnace standpoint, the cobra r is probably one of the most functional bumpers to add downforce that is offered for the 94-98 without trying to get something made custom. i'm not a big fan of it from the appearance standpoint though.
