Hello all,

I just picked up this low mileage GT Ragtop a week or so ago and figured to join a forum for these cars to sample some of your expertise. This one is completely stock with the exception of the LED bulbs I added yesterday (my night vision isn't what it used to be). I not a total Mustang neophyte, I had a '66 coupe (298/3-speed) back in the old days. Most of my adult life I have a convertible as a fun car (no Mustang convertibles though), the last one I had was a '69 Firebird that I sold about 10 years back and I have been missing it. So, since I am no neophyte to online car forums either, here come the pics!!

Anyway, thanks for adding me and I am sure I will be asking questions and for advice - 92

Welcome and nice score.

On a side note, out of all the mustangs I’ve owned not one had those nice headrests.

Smh, "298/3-speed"? Really? Obviously my '66 was equipped with a 289 not a "298"

Thats one clean car!

Welcome to the site!

Are their any upgrades planned for the car? Maybe exhaust or tinted windows?

Nothing fun at this point. Got a handful of "must-do" maintenance items that I will need to take care of first.

I have already put on new tires and got some LED bulbs for some night driving. Nothing beats driving out in the country with the top down (assuming you can see).

When I get around to it, I will probably get some nicer wheels and maybe that exhaust you mentioned (they should know you have a V8, right?).

And you didnt take any pics?
To clarify, it was just me driving around at sunset. It is really nice where I live. You can get to farm land (and away from traffic) in about 10 mins of drive time.

It was nearly full dark except a line of pink on the western horizon. Venus was the only star that was visible and it was shining huge and bright above the pink. The smell of fields and the sound of that little V8...perfect!

I did want to stop and get a pic, but there was no where to pull off. I guess it will just be a memory to help keep me motivated to take it out and drive before bedtime more often

Yeah....I am kind of waiting til after I do some touch up stuff with paint to take more pics. I don't know why, the rock chips etc rarely show up in the photos

Welcome aboard! Saddle up and ride! Car looks beautiful, especially for almost 30 yrs old. That ragtop snug, devoid of rips/tears, and keeps the elements out? Just looking out for ya, cuz I hear you get a lil’ rain there in the NW?!

Thanks for the pics…

So far so good on the top. Visually looks ok. Hasn't really rained yet since I bought it so we will find out. Did pick up water proof cover just in case, but also hope to clear enough garage space soon

92wastheyear,
very nice GT Convertible you have. The color is very appealing and it appears to be in top notch condition. What have you done to it or with it lately?
