I bought the car SUPER low and the ride was terrible (springs had been cut). I started off by getting Eibach pro lowering springs which brought the car up, but the ride is still pretty bad. Got some beautiful 18" Saleens from LMR which I love, but it's probably not helping with the rough ride. Streets here are in bad shape and my gf doesn't want to ride in the car with me anymore haha!!!
So, I'm planning on getting cc plates next then alignment, some new struts/springs, sub frame connectors and I was thinking I should start replacing some bushings, but read because it's a DD that I should try and go rubber. But, when I went to the local auto parts store they were pretty useless!
Any tips for getting bushings? Like which are 100% important and which maybe I can skip? LMR has a whole kit but they are poly and I want to improve the ride, so I think I should skip those and try and find rubber?

Any idea what struts/shocks are on the car now? Chances are the previous owner slammed the car on the stock stuff. Doing so shortens the piston stroke and they bottom out. You get that “old school mini truck” choppy ride and crash/bang over bumps. A set of struts/shocks meant for a lowered Mustang will solve most all of those problems. Just explain to the missus that it will never be a Lexus :) Mine has pretty much a full race suspension but it doesn’t ride terrible. It doesn’t ride great either.

Polyurethane bushings will offer better steering response and generally last longer than rubber.

If you're going for rubber, Moog probably has it.

Man, are the roads really that bad in San Diego? The two times I've been there in the past that place seemed so nice.

FWIW, I just ordered Moog rubber front sway bar bushings for my ‘12 Ram. It’s had a McGaughey F/R lowering kit pretty much since I bought it new in ‘12 and the ride has always been a bit rougher than I’d like. I’ll see if this helps and how much. Amazon and Advance Auto (formerly Pep Boys) most convenient places I found on a quick search that have Moog rubber available. Tons of thermoplastic bushings out there. Rubber’s getting a little bit harder to find. Moog.com helps!

You can call them with the size bushings you need and they can probably cross-reference it and get you the correct P/N for rubber. Might want to take it a step further and check/see it’s Made in USA vs China or Taiwan or ???

Hey, new member from SD here as well! I saw your location on the SN95 Map and hilariously enough, I'm only 5 minutes down the road.
