You know honestly though it seems like you paid a lot of money, but I'm so tired of looking at junk cars people want $6k for. That makes me almost inclined to think its worth paying a lot for a low milage clean and unabused car.

If the car "rode like a car with 17k miles should" like the seller told me, I wouldnt feel like I paid too much. But paying that amount and dropping 1500 on a bunch of suspension bits to make it ride like a 17k mile car should is where I feel I paid too much for it. According to nada, average value is $7800 and high value is 10,900. So technically, I could get a used car loan through a regular bank and not have gap insurance. Also, my state farm rep would insure it full coverage for the bank. But I know what you mean. These cars are like the foxbody, alot of them are ragged out and they want a bunch of money for them. You really don't see many in this condition unless it's a convertible or a cobra. I couldn't justify the money for the cobras in this type of condition and milage. I paid atleast 5 or 6 k less for this gt than what people ask for the cobras. Some people are wanting 20 grand for 94/95 cobras. Not sure if they will get it though. I keep referring to the 94/95 because I wanted the 5oh over the modular. I just love they way they sound and to me, it was the end of an Era for ford and the pushrod motor. The 96 and up could be cheaper but I didn't shop those.

Gotta say teal is prob the best color for these cars ;)

Looks great! What RPM's are you turning at a given MPH? We can figure out if they're 3.73's. Gotta know if its AODE or T5 though.

And don't take the door guards off, its not a bad body line.

Looks like just a hair over 2k going 45 in 5th. Somewhere between 2 and 2100. In 5th at 45, it dropped to about 1400 rpms.

What size tires? I'm guessing 3.55's with scratch paper math lol. Don't have my laptop on me now

Tires are 245/45/17. And yes, that should have been about 2050 in 4th. You can't fit the needle between the actual needle and 2k mark. Just barely over 2k. What formula are you using?

Take engine speed factor the trans ratio for driveshaft speed. Then factor the rear end ratio for axle speed. The pi times diameter of your wheels and convert to miles/hour. A lot of unit conversion. And if your rear end is the only unknown, solve for that

Im late to this thread!

Your car is beautiful! Love the teal green!

Also, ill put this out there. My buddy has a teal green 93 and has turned down a $30k offer. Something for you to think about, cause the teal green is not common.

Take those engine speeds and multiply by 0.9485 (94.85%) for 3.55 Gears.

Multiply by 0.9992 (99.92%) for 3.73 Gears. Or just use them as is because 0.08% is pretty much nothing.

You have roughly an inch taller tires than 245/45R17's. And the T45 has a 0.67 Ratio whereas the T5 is 0.68 (5th Gears)

Thanks for the calcs! I was giving this some thought last night when I was trying to go to sleep and I technically gave you the wrong MPH. I was showing an indicated 45mph but my speedo is off about 5mph. I'm thinking it might just be a 3:73 gear. I'm making an appointment at the drive line shop I use to take the cover off and go through the rear end to make sure everything is within spec. At the same time, he is going to tell me what gear is in there.

I think I put in my final orders in yesterday to get the suspension right. My original order was for Prothane front and rear spring isolators, front sway arm bushings and complete bilstien shock and strut set.

Yesterday I ordered the Ford motorsport speedo calibration box, eibach pro springs, moog front lower control arms, moog tie rods inner and outer, rear upper axle bushings and tool, upper rear control arms from maximum motorsports, sportline maximum motorsports rear lower control arms, prothane strut bushings and the swaybar end link bushings. I think im just lacking new bolts. I had some heartache paying 50 bucks for 4 bolts so I was going to see if I could source them from somewhere else.

I decided to go with the replacement of the front lower control arms since it seems like it is a pain to press out the bushings and ball joint on the front control arms. I also didnt want to take a torch to it to get the bushings out either. The car should ride pretty good having all new bushings, shock and struts. Many boxes to arrive at the house soon.

You're going to love the speedo cal box. I mounted mine on the firewall passenger side with velcro. Easy to get to, but still out of the way.

I just went thru the whole front end like you are doing. Be sure to get caster/camber plates if you're going very low. I have B springs, and didn't need them.
