just bought and installed a new tko600 trans, clutch and whatnot, let me tell you that is one big sombitch. well worth it tho.
Ill be in the market for one this summer (or mabye something even a little stronger) :naughty: :naughty:
that is the most heavy duty tremec trans you can get. and all said and done it cost me 2500 dollars clutch and all. and that is with me doing the install
2500 eh what is it rated at? Im interested in getting a T56 kit for 2699 usd that comes with everything needed.... how does the tko shift I have heard they are a little notchy
4valve Cobra...........dont fear the gear, 410's would have been ok also, but for the occasional track duty 430's are the way to go :thumb: It gets the motor in the power band quick and keeps it there.
i got a 5 speed and love it 1st and 2nd are a lil rough but they are breaking in nicely, as far as hp rated its the highest you can get in a tremec trans you can get a 500 for a little less money
well im gonna be running a 306 with head cam intake + an strim at like 10-12 psi so if the block survives for awhile I know the tranny wont haha I think a 6spd would be cool and its just a bit more then the 600. what gears do you have and how are 1st and 2nd compared with the old t5?
1st and 2nd compare to a world class t5 trans and the 500 compares to a stock t-5. you should be able to run a 500 on your car. and plus it would save money that way unless you wanted to spend the extra bucks on a 600 or a 6speed
I want too, I need that extra over-drive gear these 430's keep the rpms up most of the time, unless Im just in slow roll mode.
