Ive read up to 125 shot, WITH tune.
I think over 90 shot and you need an inline fuel pump to keep the pressure up.

My nitrous is a 150 shot, and I'm adding the T-rex inline pump.

congrates on the 300 posts.

Regarding the shot of NOS. Your motor can handle the shot, just make sure to get a CORRECT tune for your car. Doesn't matter if you have a DART block and all the forged internals you can buy. If you have a $hitty tune, your motor will go bye-bye!!!
Don't skimp on the tune

you can run a 150 shot on stock fuel system with the proper TUNE but it is a good idea to uograde your fuel system start with a fuel pressure regulator then fuel pump your stock 19lbs injectors can handle a 150 shot but they will be getting a workout when you spraying if you have boltons the next thing after that I would move up to 24lbs injectors and make sure to have fun with the JUICE lol

Lets see if I can help ......

Safely???? What does that mean?

With a proper tune (As mentioned) on a perfect day with perfect conditions ..... SURE!!!! 100%

Now here come the "But".

BUT .......

What if your bottle pressure just happens to be sitting at 1100 instead of the 950 you had it tuned at? More bottle pressure = more air = lean.

OR

Perhaps bad air (good air = bad air - because you will gain HP)

Or, lets say the pump fails for a second ...... or your fuel tank is a little low ..... or you detonate because of bad gas ....

The point I am making is that if ANY of these happen on a 150 shot with stock internals you are going to think it's the 4th of July.

a 75 shot on the other hand is MUCH more forgiving ........

NOW That being said..... with a proper tune and a REALLY good set up (proper pump/pumps/injectors/warmer/window switch/fuel pressure cut off/WOT switch/ and any other bells and whistles I forgot to mention), you are likely to be OK, I just don't want you to think it's "no problem" and then have you blow it up without being told the whole story.

Just do it right :)

do the fuel system at the same time.
spend a little more now instead of
having to rebuild (or buy a new) engine.

get a tune for however nitrous your going to run. get a wet kit, not a dry kit. normal goodies like bottle warmer, window switch....and run a 75-100. After 100 it will melt the pistons. I know on my 97's pistons the rings aren't really protected and are pretty close to the top so they get torn up easily.

I've always read that a car that you want to be a daily driver, with its tune should never go over 20 hp per cyclinder. 8 Cyclinders = 160 hp. Then again it's hope that each cyclinder gets the correct amount of nitrious, but again thats why they developed direct port.
