Went to start the car after charging the battery overnight. EFI didn’t prime. Tried starting it anyway, but wouldn’t turn over. Tried with jumper cables, same result. Could it be because the battery has been disconnected for about 4-5 weeks now?
Battery tests at 12.49v

Check your fuel pump relay. Easy to do. Switch in with a known good relay and try again. If that is a no go, I would check for power at the pump, which is a little more complicated unfortunately.

start simple and run through all your fuses, it only takes a few mins. After that check the inertia switch in the back. If it is not reset then you can test for voltage there at the inertia switch, either of the two wires to it should have 12v on it for 5 secs after you turn the key on.

Oh… I bet it’s the inertia switch in the back. Good call; will check it tomorrow morning ++

Found the problem!! All fuses good; inertia not an issue. Turns out the 9/32 screw that holds the multiple-function hooseywhatsit to the thingamabobber wasn’t tightened down so it wasn’t making enough contact. Thought it seemed a tad loosely-gooey (didn’t hear a click or snap) when I put the back together but didn’t want to risk breaking anything. So I looked at the old one and said, “hey, what gets screwed into here?”!!!
Started right up per usual ++image.jpg

That’s one hurdle. Next is the steering column. Hope it goes as well as this did. I’m waiting for a set of replacement buttons for each side of the steering wheel to arrive sometime between 10/30 - 11/07IMG_4289.png
