http://jalopnik.com/2016-chevrolet-camaro-455-v8-horses-of-high-tech-ameri-1704974496 My First Impressions: In the looks department its the exact same car. I'm not blind, i can see the subtle changes. But to me, it looks like just another face lift, the same trick they have been using since transformers 1 but they have never re-branded it a new generation. Calling this a "gen 6" is a disappointing marketing attempt for sales... The 14 to 15 mustang is a new generation....but this.. idk. On to the performance! The power plants offered are of-course a direct aim at Ford Mustang Power Plant options. The 200 lbs shaved were also focused on due to the mustangs curb weight. They were not too smart as to launching the car in may to boost preorder sales....it will have the ford team scrambling to cap the 25 extra hp in the gt and perhaps allow additional weight savings for their own 2016 model. The SS will be priced at about approx more or less $10,000 above the 15 Ford Mustang Gt, and approx more or less $20,000 away from a base model Stingray....if i were in the position where i was about to buy a new gm sports car in that price range id fork out the extra 20k....but that's not going to happen because im happy in my sn95 . What do you guys think?
Hahaha. I was thinking the same thing. or Dodge is probably like...."f*** it... hell cats are now the new srt.. and its parents will be Hell Panthers."
A 4 banger does NOT belong in a muscle car. I don't care how advanced the technology has become and how much HP it puts out.
I heard one of the 3rd gen camaros with the Iron Duke 4 cyl engine... It sounded like a coffee can full of nails. I suppose it IS good to see them trimming down the new version, but I bet one thing they won't trim will be the price...
Hahaha, yup i remember! The new v6's sound like rice.... The SS will most likely go up in price from the new frame, interior etc. The 15 SS is already at $37,000.. thats going up for sure. The 15 GT is low 30's. You can buy and mod your 15 gt for the same price as a stock ss lol.
They might have 300hp+...ive seen an ecoboost in the 10s. But atleast your car sounds like an angry monster and not a pissed off mosquito
I wouldnt want an ecoboost in my muscle car but that doesn't mean i wouldn't consider the motor in a daily driver  The camaro has been ugly to me since they thought it was a good idea to put an Lt into a catfish. I dont mind gen 1-2 and the iroc isnt all that bad looking compared to the catfish lol Is their a different design team for the Camaro vs design team for the corvette?
My brother is a hard core camaro guy. He likes the 3rd gen the best. I'll admit that it's a bit dated looking, just like the "boxed" look of the Fox body, but it's not bad... I like it. ..... I still like mine better though.
Imitation is the greatest form of flattery I guess. You see the two from the side and the Camaro and Stang look near identical.
holy crap! from that angle the camaro looks a lot like the mustang. Give their history, Chrysler will not do anything with their car until it's too late. They have always been late to the party.
