oil tank sensor on 96 gt

Ive heard from Randy at stangnet that the 96 gts had a oil tank sensor that could be leaking..cause it seems that my car is leaking oil and then setting off the low oil light..anyone had this problem?

if i remember right the sensor is on the passenger side of the oil pan. I changed my oil pan witha new one from the dealership and the new one didnt have the hole for the low oil sensor, i asked the guy at the dealership and he said they dont produce the oil pan with that hole anymore because it was for 96 only. So i ended up leaving the oil sensor out and pulling the bulb out from behind the gauge cluster to get rid of the low oil light. So if you dont want this problem get a used one off a 96. or fix yours.
