Ordered a new Fluidyne today. Now I need some suggestions on fans?

Not sure what I'm looking for when ordering a new replacement cooling fan for my '96GT w/ a '99GT motor. Who makes them and what are the good ones, that are direct bolt-ons? I just got done ordering a new Fluidyne, so the fan is next. Thank you!

I just a 97 fan assembly for mine.

Just a stock assembly? Was that also a flaw in the '96 system? And will the '97 assembly handle fairly heavy mods, do you know?

It is completely different than the 96 I know that for sure. As far as handle heavy mods, I would assume yes. What kind of heavy mods you talking about?

I'm forging the motor in prep for a KB, which I'll probably boost pretty good. Right now I have a Spec Stg3 w/an alum. flyw., Tremic 600r(.82) trans., PST carbon fiber drsht., tru-trak diff., Moser 31 spline axles, 3:73's,T/A cover, Bassini o/r x-pipe, Pypes Violator cat-back, MM torgue arm, panhard-bar, LCA, full ext. sfc., roll cage w/ swing arms, H&R SS springs in front, Super drags in back, Bilstien HD self valving shocks & struts, Cobra a-arms, MM cc plates,d&s Cobra brakes, and a Pro-5.0 shifter. I think that may be it, not sure, but I'm up-grading the cooling system now, then headed for the motor. Not sure exactly what to do with that yet, but shootin' for maybe 650hp, as a dd, if I can

I think it should handle that. It is heavy mods for sure... Check over on modularpowerhouse.com's forums.... MPH installs TONS of KB blowers and you can ask that question over there and someone will give you a definitive answer. I think you will be ok, but just double check.
