does anyone know if there is a way to have a car pass smog in California that has a different size engine in it then what it came with from the factory? for example lets say i have a 94 mustang with a 302 and i want to put in an 03 cobra engine. as long as it still met all of the smog requirement for that engine would it still pass?

Man it would suck to live there (for smog anyways, the weather kicks Missouris ass anyday). But im glad, im September cars 95 and older no longer have to be tested. And 96 and up cars just have to be plugged into the obdII port and as long as it doesnt thrown any codes you pass. You can be spitting basically raw fuel out the back and pass. We've done it a few times already with some badass street cars.
