ok so im looking to do just a cam swap. so far i have Romeo cams, valve springs, and retainers. They have cam gears bolted on also. My question is what else do i NEED to do the swap as far as parts are concerned? Looking for some experience from anyone who has already done the cam swap

well sounds like you changing the valve springs so run up each piston of the two valve springs you are doing so the valve don't fall down get a maginet for the little keepers and the ford valve spring compressor tool and good luck

i thought the springs change lift and give more power/raise where the power comes on from like 4800 RPMs to 5800?

So all im going to need for the swap is the cams and cam gears? There is no benefit to adding PI springs?

I didn't swap in new springs with PI cams during my install either and have not had any problems. NPI springs seem to be holding up to the extra small amount of lift.
