I believe my stock 96 gt has a blown head gasket. Was just wondering everyones opinion on whether I should just do the head swap or if its just as easy swap in a pick-npull motor. Im looking to go pi either way..

Its 10x easier to me to pull a motor then to do ahead swap in the car.... that is why I did full pi motors on both my cars the first go round

But with a PNP motor you never know you might as well get some good used heads and go forward that route

Are you going to tune the car? How far do you want to go with power?

Yea I figured the whole package would be easier then a head swap. The plan o s to keep the pi engine stock and just drive as is tand rebuild and boost the original npi

Why not just run PI heads if going through the trouble of rebuilding a motor?

Oh...lol. I thought you had a good idea why.

Unless you aquire the newer 9thread sparkplug heads, forget about swapping. Them heads are upper $400 or you can timesert a set for the same price. Next option, basically free npi heads but there is a little work to be comparable and $100set for decking.

I agree swapping pi is the easiest, but be careful with the year selection. Npi has been proven to be comparable to pi many times.
