alright. I've been assessing my finances and I am either going with the PI head and intake swap or 4.10s. Which one of these do you guys think i should do?

PI swap all the way, you can get 40hp or more out of the entire PI set-up. Might as well pop 500 for a set of aftermarket cams too for some extra power 8)

the 60 HP and better power curve, as well as better response to future mods is better than gears.

Gears are great too, torque multiplication, but you'll still choke out a 4800 rpm's with the NPI's

PI all the way :thumb: trust me from experience, i did the 3:90's before my PI goodies and don't get me wrong the gears were an awsome upgrade but then i put the PI equipment in and man you won't even reconize your car after that, you really notice the extra ponies :boink:

P.I. Heads would be a great start. They are a HUGE difference in my car. Of course 4:10's are a great seat of your pants part. What are your plans for the car? If money is an issue and you don't really plan on modding the motor big then maybe 4:10's. My vote is for the P.I. Heads.

think twice about the headswap if you plan on supercharging it anytime soon though :thumb:

I have had to choose on previous cars, and I would do the gears FIRST. Others talk about it feeling like a different car after the PI swap, and hell you are adding 45-50hp...it better!!! 4.10s in the rear would do about the same for you in the 1/4 mile though. You will def feel the 4.10s

Your not saying that adding 4.10's to a NPI 2V will drop as much et in the 1/4 as doing a PI swap? Those 4.10's will be nice and help you get to that magic 4500rpm choke off point the wonderful NPI intake and cams die at. Doing a PI swap doesn't just add 40-50rwhp it also extends the usable powerband up to 6000rpm adding much needed top end power. Gears may help you drop 2 or 3 tenths but a PI swap usually results in a full second drop off your 1/4.
