ok i did my pi intake swap last night and all it does is spit and sputter well i read a forum thats said to use the npi intake gaskets i used the pi intake gaskets well so i decided to chang them it took me and my friend 2 hrs lastnight and it took me 1hr and 45mins just now with a 11 month old (my son) an a 2yrold (my nephew) i hope this works ima gonna take a shower and then start it up wsh me luck
yes i did like the picks it didnt work so i switched the gaskets put silicon on the intake ports and colant gallorys
ok i started it,it still misses a lil,but i think the spark plugs are f"ed up from the other gaskets so i got to get a tune up
all you needed with the PI gaskets was on the coolant ports ill show you pics! Use the PI gaskets and only put the silcion the amount and where it shows in the pictures! I have had mine on for about 3 months now and 1000 miles! no leaks or anything bad yet!
well do it again! you will have much more problems with the NPI gaskets and silicon everywhere where as with the PIs you just have to use a little bit of silicon! what type of silicon did you use?
i used rtv high temp i just drove to brandon and back n it drives great lot more power just a lil miss ill do a tune up tomorrow spanked a o5 benz he was pissed it also hass power when i got the ac on it would bogg out before swap
next weekend i should do pi cams am i still gonna have a dead spot at 5000rpm and will my npi springs hold the 505/535 lift
are you doing stock PI cams? If so the springs will hold the abuse, but your dead spot will be gone! it should pull all the way to 5800 with the cams
:banana:yeah stock out of a 02 romeo block i have the whole block i didnt know about th piece to adapt the heater tube from the pump so i blocked it off the heads need 4 valve guides on the pass side intake :-\ another? is if i step on it it boggs as i lett off it catches up like have throttle its fast and full it is slow prior to swap, think its the fuel pump????????
