I picked me up a project car, 1995 convertible gt. Mileage is 98,500 if correct. Tranny is bad replaced seal, but now shifting crazy. I have a 94 I have plenty of good parts on but debating on if I really want to restore a vert or not. It needs window motors, front seats need tlc, new carpet, and painted.
DropTopPony, Tally_4.6 he's wondering if he should build a drop top.......
mileage is low. What do you want to do with it? It's nice having a vert for those nice nights to go out cruising. Sun roof on the wife's car isn't the same.
Tranny is bad but have a 94 to fix things things that's been crashed. Just building a cruiser not a racecar, so I might keep it.
Just recently purchased my first vert. Me and my lady enjoyed a nice long top down cruise, v8 rumble in the background. Made it all seemed worth it... especially now that I've got subframe connectors and tb reinforcements for piece of mind. Haven't been able to track down the leak when it rains though...
Yeah I believe I'm going to build me a little cruiser. I'm putting my old engine in it that I e got a B303 cam and gt40 p heads on. Put my 5 speed tranny and my rearend with 3:73 in it.
Build it....I'm still in the middle of restoring my 94 vert. There's nothing like dropping the top and just driving.
Over the past 27 years Ive owned many stangs both verts and hard tops. Every time I buy a hardtop I feel like Im in a cage. Nothing beats a vert don't listen to the crowd as most have never owned a vert, there opinions are based off of either looks or internet myths. If it wasn't for racin jacins vert the mustang game would have been long gone.
