Okay I am ready to install a 2001 crown vic 4.6 engine into my 2002 mustang gt. I have done a little researching and found that I need to swap my original intake, manifolds, motor mounts, oil pan, and the heater tube under the intake and I understand all of that. There is a plug in on the intake side of the drivers side head of the crown vic engine that my 02 4.6 did not have? Oh and I had to put a different flywheel on. Can anyone tell me what this plug in is for and what I should do? And if there is anything I'm missing please let me know because this is my first engine swap. Thanks in advance<br/>

Okay do I got the engine installed. I did nit plug in the "knock sensor" though as my mustang didn't have one. Will this make a difference? And will an automatic transmission from a 97 gt work in my car?

A 97 trans will have a mechanical speedo and your 02 has an electronic one
