I think I’ll make my first post here about the start of my 94 GT's restoration.
I picked it up a year ago with 98K miles. I think it was more of a project than the previous owner wanted to take on.
It’s had a rough life…

Took the Bra off for the first time

It went down hill when I took her to the car wash...

These are the replacement parts I've purchased so far..

I've still got a few odds and ends to pick up for the exterior but nothing that'll stop her from going under the knife come November.

Thanks for taking a look!

That's funny! One of the reasons I went with that hood is because I couldn't find pictures of it on anyone's ride.

So I'm continuing the teardown and I'm trying to figure out how to take off some trim w/out damaging it. Any help would be appreciated.

Window trim on the doors

Trim around the top.
I have no idea how to remove #1. I can see screws I can access once the trunk is up for #2 - is that all that's needed?

The door window trim just slides up off of the pinch weld. There might be a screw on the back side of the door but that can be seen,
Roll down the window to get movement to rock it back and forth while carefully using s putty knife on the outside,
I can't help you with the vert trim.

I got the mirrors, side skirts, wing, and rear trim off today

Since I couldn't find any info on how to remove the trim I figured I'd put up some pics.

#1 - Pull up on the inside window trim on both sides

#2 - Remove the two screws that hold the outside trim on.
#3 - You'll need a screwdriver that's long enough to fit trough the frame for the top.

#4 - Remove all the screws holding the back trim down.

All the pieces will just lift off now.
*Note* the side trim slides into the back one so be careful not to bend them.

I was finishing the removal of the interior and trunk parts when I decided to remove the taillights and center part of the trunk lid. I took the picture before I removed the Ford badge.

I got the rear bumper, 3rd break light, hood, head lights, head light support, and front bumper off today. Those tabs on the front bumper (under the head lights) are a pain in the ass! I plan on taking a Dremel to the new one and remove ‘em.

All thats left is exterior window trim, cowl, and the side vents and she’ll be ready for paint!

Nice project. Bringing 'em back from the dead, or at least the critical list, is a good thing.

I have the same color car and started at the same spot. It takes time and hard work but its all worth it i promise. I love pulling up to new corvettes in a convertible and saying bye bye lol. Keep up the great work. Its an amazing feeling driving around in a old sn95 vert that is a neck breaker.

So I recently got some parts in and today I was test fitting the fog lights and ran into a problem. My car is a 94 GT and I picked up 96-98 Cobra fogs; they have different brackets. I haven't found any write-ups on them so I hope someone here knows how they mount up or what I need to make them work.

All dents/dings popped and pulled, the drivers rear 1/4 and door are fixed, fender gap corrected, and all unwanted holes filled. Time to prep the trim, bumpers, hood, and wing.
