Installed my new Moser axles (fox length).
Modified my stock brake brackets and installed ARP 2.5" wheel studs.
Got my 16x10" Bogart Racing wheels (from my 03 cobra) to fit with the 28x10x16 Hoosier C07 slicks. Had to use a 1/2" spacer to clear tailpipes and inner fender. May try a 1/4" spacer next.

Hooks great (surprisingly) on a 100hp nitrous shot on the street.
Going to dyno the car this weekend and dial in the tuneup.

it was time to retire my daily driver/beater. I have also been reading about the overstock on dealer lots now and how they are now starting to offer some nice discounts to get some cars sold. This on top of the fact that with the tariff questions, I don't see the prices going down anytime soon so I decided it was time to upgrade and found this 2025 with a good discount. I still feel spoiled with just power windows/locks, so now to have a sunroof, heated seats and a nice big display in the middle I almost feel like I am in a Rolls Royce. I have never seen steering responsive headlights before so the neighbors probably thought I was stoned as heck as I just turned from one side to the other after backing out to make sure I was seeing the lights move. It is the first new car I have had since 1997 and after the horrible ice storm we had I decided I wanted AWD but I didn't want anything big so a new Impreza should fit the ticket.

Man my eyes were playing tricks on me until I zoomed in. I thought that mailbox was some giant carbon fiber wing on an otherwise stock subaru lol

Not a “parts” purchase, but next Wednesday the 12th, I’m taking the car in to FTK (Full Throttle Kustomz) in Fillmore for dyno/tune. Will ask to have them look (and likely re-wrap) the terrible attempt I made on the fuel injector pigtail I replaced on cylinder 1. Damn arthritic fingers aren’t as dexterous as they once were :-(

I’m anxious to see the numbers and will share results here. This will be with the stock FPR.

There isn't much room in the new impreza I got but I could not help but notice that the space under the front seats was HUGE. After some measurements I confirmed that this single powered slim 12" will fit under each seat. The thing is built like a tank as the enclosure is aluminum and CV has been known for their subs for decades now(I mean vanilla ice rapped about them). I can't wait to install it but will have to as it is 18 degrees out now and we are expecting 4-8" of snow.IMG_20250218_102957496_HDR.jpg

You happened to be in Southern Indiana? Sounds like the weather about to hit down there

I didn't know CV was still around. I was all about MB Quarts and Eclipse Audio back in the day.

yea being in the river valley we get some strange weather. Sometimes you can watch it come over from illinois and then the valley will trap hot/cold air and because of that the weather will just split and go around us. Other times it will attract the weather and kind of trap it a little bit and like last month then we end up with a good ice/snow mix. Hopefully that last storm took out all the branches that needed to come down I don't want another 4 days with no power again.

I still have my RE30 CV's, the 12" home stereo speaker from college. Threw some really good parties with those things shaking the siding of the house.

I think it is a good time to get a new vehicle as lots are overloaded and prices are going to go up. We just got another 6" of snow last night and with the temps being low for the next week it might hang around a little while.
