thanks I appreciate the kind thoughts. I am just thankful that the dr is reasonable and the nurses are fast, but I would rather be buying car parts.....

I think because they are aluminum? I had to wonder if you could not get it on there by first heating it up to expand it and put it in place rather than pressing in place?

Picked it up this morning…
Inserts feel great! I believe the thigh and torso supports will be just what the doctor ordered. Can’t wait for the shoulder to be well enough to install it!

Here it is setting in its future home. To expedite the picture, I didn’t attach any bracketry, etc underneath . I just set it in place so you can get an idea what it’ll look like. I’ll post the whole shebang once done.

Unbeknownst to me, apparently I have to buy the Sparco seat adapter for $170 because the holes don’t line up. (Why would they? I don’t have that kind of luck!). Stock holes on the manual slider are 14” apart OC; holes on the bottom of the Sparco seat are 10 1/2” apart OC. They’re in NC, so I emailed to: 1. confirm I’d need the adapter bracket; 2. find out if their seat & adapter combo is adjustable or stationary; and 3. if the slider cal be mounted to the LMR extension brackets I have waiting to be put in?

I’m seriously doubting the combo will work. That’d mean putting their seat, slider bracket, their adapter bracketry and the extensions atop one another. Might be mounting up just a tad high,eh?! We’ll see….

Oh, and the slider and lower hardware (bolts, washers, nylon nuts) . Arriving by Wednesday next.

I got the brackets with my cobeau seats that fit perfectly, no reason to think sparko can't get it right as well. They were also a little beefier bracket than the stock. You can sell those stock seat tracks if they are working. The seats themselves you will have a hard time getting rid of.

Those look incredible! What model are they? Or do you have a link to where you ordered them? I may consider the same seat.

I know all to well about Mikes pulleys. I ran them almost 20 years ago. Pretty sure he still uses a shot of my bay as his site header. I've had that PS pulley off numerous times with no issues. Not saying that you can't F it up but I guess that all depends on your mechanical ability. If you are a caveman I would expect to buy a couple of them lol

They are the Sparco GT seat. Prices vary on the interweb of course, but I chose to get mine from a local shop (support small biz + no shipping) and paid $450 cash OTD ;-)

I ended up ordering the seat adapter ($170) + slider ($80) + hardware ($12) from Amazon Prime. Prices for the ancillaries were a tad less expensive than from Sparco nearest me ( 1.5 hr drive each way IF no traffic)
Plus, no shipping $ Amazon; $95 shipping from Sparco!
