Well finished the bc drag it challenge . Car gave me ignition issues all week . Regardless still had the 2 fastest passes in stick shift short shifting at 52-5300 . 10 second car short shifting at 131mph on low boost . Ordered a Holley 558-307 harness and a Holley dual sync distributor . I’m going coil near plug and ditching the tfi distributor once and for all .

I have been hearing mixed reactions about the dual sync dist. Originally I heard they were the shit and I managed to find one used that I got and planned to put on one day. But since the stock one is working I have never installed it and never had an issue but then I am not driving it like you are.

Yea I’m pretty sure the distributor I got was junk out the box the lmr 351w swap one . I’ve heard mixed reviews but one of the guys on the drag and drive ran one with coil near plug and it’s been good for the last two years so hopefully I can have some luck

Some are not worth a crap that's for sure
My friend bought a doorman
And the shaft was slightly out of round
What a joke took a while trying to figure out the problem
Chasing a ghost

they all gotta start somewhere, what's the plan?
I have a 351w bored .04 over with a stroker kit installed. Need to finish building that then dropping it in. The 5.0 in the cradle swallowed a bolt into cylinder #3 and detonated the piston.

Where did said bolt come from?
I was putting new o-rings on the injectors, so at some point I dropped it, but could not find it. I looked everywhere and just figured it fell into one of those black holes at the bottom of the car where a lost nut or bolt comes a rattle when you drive it. When trying to start the car after work was complete it made a noise wouldn’t crank over any more. o_O Bolt from the fuel rail.
