So I went to the track about 2 weeks ago and ran a 14.39 @97mph in my 98 gt......only mods=3.73 gears. Is that a pretty normal time? Plus I have B.F Goodrich G-Force kdws which also hook up pretty good. Any input would be great. Thanks

your mph is just a few above what stock would be, and your time isn't unheard of........its just not common for a NPI 2 valve to run that good. You have a strong car for sure :)

That's normal to me. I ran a 14.5 with no mods. So you are on the right track!

my quickest time is a 15.01...with full exhaust and intake...but i had a really shitty 60' and couldnt get any traction and on 18s, i think i did too much of a burnout and cause my tires to be slippery...it was my first time, i was an uber noob... :'( :'(

OHH shit that answers the question, 1.97 60 ft is really good for street tires. i was only pullin 2.30 60 ft with my hankook 18"s which is why my 1/4 mile was so shitty. the rule of thumb is for every tenth of sec of your 60 ft time you will lose 2 to 3 tenths of sec of your 1/4 mile time.( this really works) ie. my best was a 2.3 60 ft = 14.4@98mph. if i could have even gotten a 2.0sec 60 ft time my time would have been in the 13.7 - 13.8 range. so you are doing real good my friend, keep up the good driving :thumb:
