This needs an update since the direction has changed.

Since all my pictures were lost on Photobucket and I have gone back and forth quite a bit over the last few years with the car, sold and bought another Cobra to make the crazy build, I figured I would just start from scratch.

Here is my 02 GT the day I bought it, 22.5k miles on it and stock except for a catback and neons.

Here is after my first round of mods. Eibach Pro System Plus, 18" Bullitt Wheels, MAC CAI, Simco Gauges, stereo ugrade, Pro 5.0 shifter

This is after a few more changes, Steeda 18' Ultralites, tint, Mach 1 Lip and Grille Delete and for the most part, where the car unded up (minus spoiler delete) before the rebuild began.

So, some progress I have made over the time I have had to do some work is the removal of the stock sound deadening material and replacement of new stuff. I used Boom Mat and Noico Liner. When I removed the old stuff I wire wheeled the metal, primered, and repainted the metal to make a good surface.

I mounted the crossovers for the Morels after I had put Noico Liner on the doors. I also ran all new wiring through the car for the stereo and ditched the factory stereo wiring throughout.

I'm very interested to see where you end up with that engine combination. I'm building something similar, but with stock cams.

Plans for mine won't be too far off. I still haven't figured out what compression ratio I want to shoot for yet. But with the heads I have; it might be a little bit wilder combo.

I imagine with all the mods it should be around 600hp and 550lb/ft to the tires. All that I have read about the TVS 2.3s has been great. Guys on untouched longblocks make 600 &550 all day at 20lbs. Sure, I will not be running as much boost but the bump in compression , cams, headwork, and exhaust should makethe car very efficient and lay down some impressive numbers.

I'm assuming since I'll be running the standard M112 [2.76 pulley/14#] with largely stock heads, I'll be well under 600 whp. Your pistons are going to put you in the 9.8:1 [or so] compression range? The set we've spec'd for my combo will put me around 10.3:1, perhaps more though because I had the heads decked.

I've also considered a M122 swap for a relatively cheap bump in power capability. We put one on my wife's 3V car and it pulls pretty good @ 11-12 psi.

I was told that the CR should be 9.731:1 not taking in that the block and heads will be decked so maybe 9.75:1 or so. I plan on running a 3.2" pulley which is supposed to be 15lbs but will probably be 13 or so for me with the other work and ability for the engine to move air.

Is that a belt driven air compressor?? So now you can air up your tires while driving like Hummers?!?!

I have not posted in a while. Started a new position with an amazing company that has me traveling.

Build has changed to keep the 2V setup. Lots of pictures will be posted as I will be making my machine shop trip in three weeks. Just waiting to make the trip for the heads, pistons, and Tork Tech Kit.

Here are the Valvesprings and Cams I had spec’d.

Ordered the Timing Components, Head Change Kit, new water pump, and a few extras too that I researched as helping with the timing component differences in using the Teksid Block in a 2V setup.

You guys need to hit up Jeffery Shockey at Apocalypse Performance for your modular needs. Came home today to these.

Got the hood latch adjusted to get the Cervini Hood to close and latch properly. Also got the Cobra throttle and cruise cables hooked up.
