Not true, most of the time anything over 30 is going to require the cylinders to be sleaved. Its quite common in aluminum blocks and even the ever so special Teksid.

A Big Bore on a Modular is not just a boring the production block to insanely thin wall specs but actually replacing the cylinder linings with better steel sleeves that can be bored to make a 3.70 bore size or roughly 5.0 liters without adding more stroke to an already long stroke engine.

well then thanks for clearing it up for me. i never looked into doing it, i was merely sharing what i had heard about it, but it is always nice to learn the truth.

Chris at any rate great build cant wait to see it done in person and run it vs. my car. :thumbsup:

also im going to talk to a few people in a day or two about selling my t trim and replacing it with a nice 80mm ball bearing turbo setup so it should be a really good race Dec 2010.

Im saving up for the blower now... so this thread will go pretty dormant for a while... New mirrors, new hood, new spoiler if i can find one... then a shiz-ton of saving to get the KB. :-D

thanks man... the bad thing is my pleather couch isnt nearly as ballar as sxynerd's velvet couch... lol.
