Thanks guys. I'm pretty happy with how they look.

Right now it's sitting pretty high but with some good advice on here and from Maximum Motorsports I think I found a solution to my Coilover issues. This is the only new picture I have since every other time I've been home has been dark. Work sucks...

When I get back home again I'll be installing the new Helper Springs and lowering it back down. If they don't work I'll throw the old Springs back in and order longer coilover springs.

Weeeelllll in the process of taking on and off the front suspension so many times apparently I misplaced one of the MM Spacers for the strut tower so, I went ahead and ordered another set. Put the old lowering springs back on until I get the new c/o springs ordered. And now I have to find out why it's rubbing the fender liner on one spot at full lock. I'm thinking the old one is sagging a bit. Never ends with this car BUT at least it doesn't look like a gasser anymore.

Mo' problems...

Got the suspension tightened up and ready to go and then started getting a rubbing noise on the left side. Took the wheel off and saw this.

Kinda hard to see but the tire has been rubbing the wheel well and starting to rub the harness. Not good. Also need to pick up a set of spacers (or control arms) since my wheel is rubbing against it at full lock.

No idea why I'm having this much trouble with a simple suspension upgrade.
BUT at least the stance looks good! [emoji53]

The new coilover springs won't ship until later this month so I picked up a pair of H&R Supersports so I can drive it until then.

Won't be as good of a stance but they'll work for now. It was either that or throw my old 17s with undersized tires back on.

Might try and sneak out to the garage sometime today to throw them on. [emoji6]

Thanks, lol. It's uhhhh different but I like it. Probably because I've never seen another one like it. (although my last Fox was "different" but not in a good way)

And apparently strange make weird sized struts so they move around in MM CCPs or any that have an OEM size bearing. Only real options are
A) make a shim to account for the difference
B) overtighten the top nut on the strut or
C) just get new struts

Hopefully a few hits of an impact will secure it enough and if not, I'll be ordering some Koni SAs.

Haven't decided what hood I'm going with but I'll let you know.

Selling the Strange struts after I finally talked to someone with half a brain there and for some reason they recommend nothing more than a 14" spring. Called MM and asked them about running my 10" 350# hypercoils with Koni SA struts and they said there will be no issue running that spring with those struts. I guess that's why I usually see Strange 10 ways on drag cars...
Springs have been on for a while now and it's amazing how much better of a spring these are than my old ones.

I think Ferocious is running strange struts with 10" springs?

Not sure. When I had them installed at the ride height I wanted the top of the spring wouldn't even touch the bearing cap.

Yeah, I have Griggs Racing springs I believe on my strange struts. I've never had any issues and for how low it is, I'm more than pleased with their performance.

I have 10" hypercoils hand they wouldn't work to save my life. I could drive around and not even have the springs contact anything unless I went over a huge bump. Regardless I sold the Strange struts today and I'll be picking up some Koni SAs or Bilsteins to finish it off and keeping the 10" springs. Right now I need to replace my front control arm bushings, take my car into the hobby shop on base to get the h-pipe bolts off and do the LCAs at the same time. I'm going to rebuild the rear end next. Then reseal the engine and then finish the suspension. It works pretty well with the H&Rs.

Did you ever get your front sway bar issue fixed? When I changed mine the same thing happened, 3 out of the 4 nuts came off fine then one of the speed nuts snapped inside the frame and the stud had to be cut off with a metabo. I actually wound up taking one of the old speed nuts that held the rear sway bar to the lower control arms and using it along with the bolt that went with it. Has been holding up just fine so far.

Sorry just got back in town. I just ordered the studs from SVTstang96 for a few bucks. Just need to go down and grab some bits that fit them and I'll be ready to put it in finally. For some reason there is 3 there already and the 4th is missing so I have some extras now in case another one snaps.

Been out of town WAY too much but my buddy really got me interested in my car again after trading him a bike for doe Cobra and SSBC brakes a week ago. I was REAL close to selling it after parking it for a misfire that didn't want to go away plus buying a motorcycle cut into my funds a bit. Got the misfire down to one cylinder but I think I'm getting some blow by so a compression test is next. More fixes for the winter. Trying to fix the front bleeder screw for the cobra caliper and hopefully she'll be back on the road in no time.
