Finished molding the vent into the stock hood and added aerocatch latches. It will look a lot better once the hood has some color on it.

Very nice! You leaving the latches black or painting them to match?

I'll be keeping them black, but the car won't be either of those colors when I am done.

What/where is this vent from? I was going to go basic and just cut a hole with a small flap in front of it, but this thing looks perfect.

You can find the vent from ken suen at bigredksr on instagram. I don't know how the fitment would be on a normal mustang engine bay yet. I might try the hood on my brother's 94 procharged car, but with the 2jz it might fit differently.

Well, I have wrapped up the intercooler endtanks and have finished mounting the intercooler to the car now. While the endtanks might not be twins turbo quality, I can say that I have learned a new craft and they should flow pretty well. The core is a garret 12x24x4.5

how did you make the ends?

Had this a few posts ago.

First rough cuts of the wood

Quick swipe through the bandsaw

After a whole lot of sanding and shaping I have the forms for my endtanks.

So once I had the wood form, i used it to hammer the sheet aluminum. I divided the tank into 4 sides and then welded them together. The hammering and welding was very time consuming, but I learned a new craft along the way so I found it useful.

Thats awesome, they turned out great! That's cool you are able to do that from raw materials

Most of the off the shelf intercoolers are only 3in thick, this core is 4.5in. And a lot of the custom built intercoolers have box style endtanks. Just after I finished hypertune came out with a cnc billet tank that looks almost the same. So if these ever fail I'll go with those.

Just finished up my intercooler piping and I am fairly pleased with the results. Moving that much closer to pulling the motor back out to freshen up and paint the engine bay.

That would be a pretty awesome swap! I heard that the manual 4wd would bolt up with the right bellhousing.
